Looks great, plays great
Very much enjoying this game. So far have played about six times, two player with just my wife and me. We love board games and have recently been playing games like Targi, Living Forest, Wyrmspan, River of Gold and a few similar games - so you get a feel of what we like. This game is right at the top for us.Great engine building and we love being able to take action on others turn aspect. The card variety is great and we love how there are so many ‘good’ cards that provide benefits. Activating a color towards the end is a lot of fun as you take in resources. The public goals are fun and keep you strategizing. I typically forget a couple along the way but there’s a lot to think about, which for me is a good thingRules are very solid and learning curve is good, although always good to watch a play thru on YouTube with any new game these days to save time and instruction painIt looks very good from the box to the card to the player work places. The components are above average. Id like to upgrade a couple like dirt tokens and leaf markers but they are not bad by any means.Overall a very solid game and one I believe will stay in the rotation for many months and beyond. Thursday’s are now Earth day at our house to ensure at least one play a week, but hope for more.

Like Wingspan, Better than Terraforming Mars
I love board games and I own and play hundreds each year. This one is great. Let me give you some details without boring you, then some pros and cons and my overall rating:GameplayIf you have played Wingspan and Terraforming Mars(TM), then this game will feel very similar. Although I think it is superior to TM and more friendly to new gamers. In EARTH you are in charge of an island and you are attempting to be the player to create the best symbiotic and efficient island. Each turn the active player will choose one of four actions. S/he will perform the main action and all other players will perform the secondary action. Thus, you are always engaged in the game with almost no down time. You continue to take turns until one person has completed a 4×4 grid of cards. You get points in so many different ways that each game is VERY different and unique. TONS of replayability! Most points wins the game.I have played a couple of times with four people and it takes us about 90 minutes to play.PROS- Very thematic.- Beautiful artwork.- Easy to learn and teach.- Super fun (even when you lose... I guess).- Tons of replayability.- Always actively gaming with something to do on everyone's turn.- Player boards and iconography are really good so you can easily understand cards/actions.CONS- Can create a little AP (analysis paralysis) in some people and slow game down a bit.- Not enough opportunity to play the game more... I really honestly don't have much negative to say!Overall Rating:Two thumbs up.9.5 out of 10 BGG RatingI am fully supportive of you purchasing this game... you will enjoy it.

Fun and Enjoyable Strategy Game
This game appears complicated at first because of all of the things you have to get to know about it, but once you’ve played a couple games it is really simple to understand and a lot of fun. Played it over and over again because there are so many cards that you get the enjoyment out of each game (highly replayable and recommended for new-to-strategy gamers).

Highly engaging game
Love this game! There are so many different ways to score points and there's no downtime between turns because you take actions even when it's other players' turns. Highly recommend!

Great game! Product arrived damaged.
Love the game the first time I played it with my wife. But a little upset that board game box was dented pretty badly when I got it.

I knew I needed this game before I finished my first playthrough.
I'm going to keep this simple to not repeat the same things as other reviews, hopefully.Important takeaways: games run around 90 minutes, regardless of the skill level of players, as far as I can tell. This game is BIG. Each player needs about 1.5sqft of space to fit their tableau and board. The team mode is fantastic. We wasted fewer resources, and it allowed us both to specialize so we got even more points. It felt more interactive/social than these types of games tend to, and I think it may be my preferred way to play. This seems especially huge with how intimidating this game appears going into it. I try to avoid super complicated games, and this definitely looked complex, but it's not. I've taught 5 people to play now, and it's one of those things that almost everyone has caught after roughly 20-30 minutes, tops.Reading the ecosystem cards correctly seems to be the number one issue. The growth tokens sometimes don't sit right and fall over. I may end up making my own at some point.Get little containers for the tokens. It'll make your life easier and it's 100% easier. That's it. 1000% recommend. I've played this game 5 times this week, and I will play it another dozen without any hesitation. I knew I loved it 10 minutes into my first game. It's cute and fun and I'm obsessed.

A beautiful, tableau building, hobby boardgame.
This is an instant classic for us. Beautiful cards, excellent tableau building game play, and a universally acceptable theme. Players mange the development of their island (in the form of growing a 4x4 grid of unique cards), while they attempt to best fulfill multiple public/shared game goals and ones unique to each player. The basic mechanism in the game is an action selection mechanic where the active player selects one of four actions, and everyone else gets to do a slightly lesser version of that action... and then everyone can trigger any abilities on their matching cards in their tableau. So, in every turn of the game (even when it's not your turn) everyone gets to do something! I will say this: I don't know that I would recommend this for people who have never played any modern/designer board games, unless you have someone very familiar with the game that can teach you. If in doubt, go to Youtube and search "how to play earth board game" to see if this game is for you.
