Parents choice!
One of our favorite games! I like that this game involves strategy while also being simple and relatively quick. We like this game for playing after the kids go to bed. This one is nice because while you do have to think through your moves, it’s easy enough to just try you best and still have fun. We could also see this as a great choice for our kids as they get older-great homeschool opportunity! Lots of rule options to make the game different. Overall a beautiful and great game!

An Excellent Nature Game for Fans of Azul, Carcassonne, or Wingspan
I bought this game for my family for Christmas and we have played it about a dozen times so far! We play a lot of board games in my family and this game feels like a mixture of Carcassonne, Wingspan, and Azul. In the game you select pairs of habitat tiles and animal tokens. Your objective is to play these to make a continuous environment and place in whatever way maximizes your score. You score is based on the size of each of the five biomes (mountains, river, forest, marsh, and plains) and you score your wildlife based on their configuration compared to the five wildlife cards you draw at the start of the game. Overall, this game is very fun and has surprisingly deep strategy. I would not call it educational (especially when compared to a game like Wingspan), but it does make one appreciate nature more. Games tend to run anywhere from twenty to forty minutes, and there is excellent replay value. Aesthetically, the game is quite good looking. The different habitats result in a colorful board and the arrangement of wildlife tokens adds to this color. In terms of learning, the game is surprisingly simple. I would say that it is no more difficult to learn than a game like Carcassonne. Overall, this is a great entry level board game which most people can enjoy.

For Wingspan fans that want a quicker, simpler option for parties
If you enjoy Wingspan, you’ll want to pick up Cascadia. Simple, quick, and fun. Unlike Wingspan, it’s really easy to pick up & learn, or teach to a willing learner. A 3 min YouTube video was all we needed, and the occasional reference to the instruction booklet they provide. My wife & I primarily play 2 player matches and our games last 45-70 mins (we’re on the slower side). For 4 player games, we implement a 2 min timer for each turn to keep it moving.

As fun as I was expecting it to be
Fun easy to play and remarkably deep strategy game. I'm a fan of the art and the complexity of the gameplay, games are easy to set and it can be play by all age groups, from pre teenagers to adults.

Beautiful, strategic, endlessly replayable
I bought this thinking it would feel like Harmonies, as it has a similar “build habitats, place animals” vibe, but it’s refreshingly unique. The artwork is gorgeous, and the pieces are satisfying to handle. The various scoring cards add layers of strategy and replayability, and it’s a joy for two-player sessions. Everything arrived intact, with high-quality tiles and tokens that feel premium.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Family Favorite!
Cascadia is a wonderful, relaxing tile-placement game that's perfect for a chill game night or even playing solo. It's incredibly easy to learn-you choose a habitat tile and a wildlife token, then place them to build your ecosystem. The components are gorgeous, and the puzzle of maximizing your scores for each animal is genuinely engaging without being stressful. If you enjoy soothing yet strategic games, this is a must-buy for your collection. It's a modern classic already!

Good wind down game
Nice game and cool design. Tokens and pieces are nice quality. Gameplay is simple and easy. There is enough strategy is needed so that every game is different based on what is drawn, and the different animal cards adds to that. Although eagle scoring cards and end game solo tile discard to reach the amount turn your suppose to have can sometimes be a little confusing. Overall a easy going game that can be played solo our with friends.

I bought this for my mum, and it is now one of her favourite games. It is easy to set up and play, with added challenges due to the different animal goal cards. The game is fairly simple to understand, too. However, personally, I find it to be relatively expensive for what it is, so I would recommend waiting for a discount.

We enjoy it as a two player game. The rules are simple, but it is challenging to build the most optimal structure (terrain/animal placement). Initially I wasn't too impressed, as it can be exausting as simple as it seems, and there's not much chitchatting as you are too focused on your "board", planning. However, a year later it has grown on me. Almost no setup (we use another draw bag for the cardboard tiles, so no shuffling and stacking needed beforehand). Not a game we play back to back, but we still played it 15 times this past year, and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. My husband who doesn't play boardgames, liked it from the start, because of the limited options, fewer rules and abstract nature. The kids (16 & 18) find it very boring though, and I think it takes too long with more players as there's a lot of downtime.
