Great speakers!
Replaced my OE front door speakers in my 2005 Nissan Frontier with these. Huge improvement! For the money I don’t think you can get much better. They are very efficient, power wise, and sound great with just deck power.Removed the old speaker and these just bolted right in. Make sure to order the correct wiring adapters for your vehicle to make installation even easier.Cerwin-Vega has been in the speaker business, both home and mobile, for many years.Great upgrade for the money.

Fits 2012 Tundra
My 2012 Tundra Crew Max has a very shallow speaker configuration. I tried many others but they hit the windows bracket on the inner door. These fit the bill perfect. Note, you'll need a set of front door speaker adapters to line up with the factory mounting holes. The sound was an improvement over the factory speakers. Plenty of mid range punch and a decent amount of bass. Coupled with a small 12" sub, i am very impressed for the money spent. Are there better speakers out there? Absolutely. For someone like me who only uses his truck a few times a month, I don't think I could find a better alternative.

Good sound but small problems.
Cerwin Vega 6" x 9" speakers. Used in the rear shelf. The wire which comes with the speakers is too thin--thinner than the factory wire. The terminal pad, for the wire terminals is too flimsy. I was afraid tha I would break the terminal pad when I connected the wires to it.The size of the speaker body is about 1/16" larger than the adapter that I got to mount the speaker to the factory hole in the Honda rear shelf. I had to use a burr to enlarge the inner hole in the plastic adapter to fit the speaker. This may, or may not, be a problem with the plastic adapter (from another seller).

Sound
Always loved Cerwin Vega products. Speakers looked/sounded good, and well priced. Larger magnet and larger coil and well made.

Works fine in 2002 Buick Century
I was concerned about how far the mid-high assembly stuck out above the top edge of the speaker itself as compared to the dead factory 6x9s I was replacing, but that turned out to be a non-issue. Even if the top of the mid-high assembly touches the underside of the factor grilles (which would be a major pain to remove from the underside of the rear window deck, and those grilles cover much more than just the speakers), the mid-high protrusions are protected on top by their own little hard plastic rings/grilles. When reinstalling the rear window deck, the speakers did not seem to affect (push up on) the factory grilles or the deck itself. As I raised and lowered the deck slightly, and I heard no difference in speakers sounds or vibrations. The three mounting holes for the back deck (where you push in the big black plastic pins/anchors) were unaffected, which is another indicator that the speakers were not unduly pushing up on the factory grilles. Also, don't worry about the 4 ohms vs. 8 ohms thing. My Century has the "Concert Sound II" 6-speaker system with two 4 ohm speakers (a 6.5in and 2in tweeter) wired in series in each front door (for a total of 8 ohms, because they're in series). The factory rear 6x9s were clearly marked as 8 ohms. Yet, these (or likely any other) 4 ohm speakers worked fine, and the sound coming from the rear using a 50/50 front/rear fade sounded great (not too much or too little sound coming from the rear).Of course, Metra 72-4568 connectors or equivalent are required to directly connect the speakers to the factory wiring harness connections in the trunk without cutting/splicing.

Great sound for the price
I installed these as a 4ohm setup to not have a sound quality issue. I have 1 in each saddle bag on its own channel of a 4 channel amp. These speakers excit your ears with each level of sound. Bass, mids and Tweeters. Whichever genre of music you desire, these speakers will not disappoint. I figured for the cost, why not try them. If the work, which they do, great. If the performance isn't as good, then the cost would have me regretting the purchase. Which I don't regret. My gain is closing to half and I can be heard a few blocks away and clearly.
