Great product
My 2011 gmc Yukon Denali lift gate decided one day to not open one day...I researched the problem and saw a YouTube video of exactly the same issue, gate would open about a foot before immediately closing. As with many issues around my vehicle, sometimes it takes awhile before my husband can get around to helping me fix it. I ordered these thanks to a YouTube review of the same brand with how to fix it. They got here right as I was leaving to go to the store, so I didn't take the time to replace them bc I wasn't sure how long it would take. Well going to the store consisted of opening the back hatch 2x to get dog, chicken, and cat food in my car bc that's the only place they would and it was a pain in the @$$. I got home and rewatched the video, propped my hatch open with a 2x4 and set out to replace them. Not even 10 minutes and I have the old ones out and new ones replaced. Super simple and worked great! Definitely recommend! Have had them for a week now and still works great, will update if any issues arise

SUPER EASY TO INSTALL
These lift support struts are an excellent product for the price; at least as far as I can tell. I will start by saying I know the bare minimum about vehicles. I just knew the original struts were going bad. The liftgate was frequently coming down on me. I started checking around. Local auto supply places were charging between $30 and $45 per strut, which means I'd have to buy two. A mechanic who works for a dealership said he could get the pair for me at his cost plus 10% and tax. That was going to come around to $112 and I would still have to get them installed. My brother found this pair on Amazon and saw the many positive reviews. He suggested I purchase the pair from Amazon, watch a couple of installation videos and I'd be good to go. My brother was right. I'm short, so I had a friend hold up the liftgate while I removed the old struts and replaced the new. These were super easy to install. My liftgate opens and closes smoothly with no issues. I am impressed with this product; especially the price. Unless you are set on paying through the nose for an OEM part, I highly recommend these liftgate support struts.

Perfect fit for 2011 Suburban 1500XL
- Good quality maybe a bit rougher finish than the OEM but about 1'3rd the cost- Installed in about 5 minutes on my 2011 Suburban 1500 XL- Ambient temperature was about 40 and they worked perfect

Job gets done...
These were fairly easy to install. The only complaint is that they are rough. They are hard to close the back of my Tahoe. I have to use crazy arm strength. Also when I open the back, it does so very quick that I am afraid it will pull off an arm if you dont let go right away. I have had them on for about 2 weeks so I am hoping over time they will get easier to use with some wear. Only time will tell. Overall, they do the job!

Worked for a 09 Suburban
OEM Struts failed after 15 years, it would open then immediately shut, safety feature. These arrived quickly, didn't appear to be an exact fit, but the worked perfectly and in 10 minutes I was fixed. Will they last 15 years like the OEMs? Don't know, and don't really care, just need them to last for a few more years...

Does not work. Liftgate opens dangerously fast.
At first glance, this item looks like a great deal to replace the OEM struts on our 2011 Chevy Tahoe. It was easy to install. Unfortunately, that's about as far as I would go. I initially noticed that the liftgate would open quite fast. I didn't really think much about it, since we were not opening the liftgate often. However, after about 4 or 5 months post installation, the liftgate continued to open very fast and there was a loud creaking noise coming from one of the struts, every time we would open the liftgate. I contacted the seller and they were quick to respond to my messages and they sent me out a replacement set, which was also delivered quickly (definitely a positive for the seller). We installed the replacement set after receipt and about 2 days later, only opening the liftgate a handful of times, the creaking noise wasn't there, but the speed in which the liftgate would fly open was dangerously fast. It opened so fast, that if you weren't careful, you could get hurt. In fact, it opened so fast that one of the new struts broke. I then contacted the seller to ask about my options and they said they could not issued a refund and to contact Amazon.I went ahead an bought OEM struts from an GM parts supplier online for $92 for the two (sold separately, right and left had different part numbers), compared to the $20 for these ones on Amazon. You can immediately tell the difference. The weight of the OEM struts is much heartier and after installation, it's worked well so far. The OEM parts actually have pressurized gas in the struts to control the opening so that the liftgate does not swing open dangerously fast.Unfortunately, I would not recommend you waste your time and money on these liftgate struts.
