I will just use mineral spirts in the future, this is very pricey and I saw no difference between them

Go to their website and you'll find the answer there. Or, just use mineral spirits. Much cheaper.

It depends on how heavily you apply it and the type of wood you have. But when the wood looks dry it is ready for the color coat.
