Q: Can the blade be angled instead of hitting the snow straight on at a 90 deg angle?

The snow pusher is set up to push in a straight line. The blade is fixed. It works best for me if I shovel at a slight diagonal so I don't leave a "wake" of snow on both sides. It is half as light as Amazon's steel pushers. If I bought again, I would get the 48 inch snow pusher.

Q: Why is this over $130.00 over Ace Hardware retail???

Ace Hardware is always higher priced than most competitors. They don't do the same volume as big box stores, so they have to make up for it with higher markups. Home Depot marks most things up around 20%. Ace marks most things up at least 100%. You are paying more for the continence of not having to drive further away.
