Q: Is this vermicelli the same as the brands that manufacture the longer noodles? I'm confused as to why these are cut so small.

I have no idea about the longer noodles. I first found these on the Mexican food aisle for use in sopas, and I now primarily use them in my soups and homemade "rice-a-roni." Good stuff, but not for full sized pasta dishes.

Q: What's the difference between vermicelli and Fideo? The same company sells both, and they look very similar.

Vermicelli is a little ticker they taste the same .

Q: Are these gluten free?

I am not sure, but I did a little research and the packaging does not have a "gluten-free" label on it, and it says it is made from 100% durum wheat. All wheat has gluten in it so I don't think this is gluten-free.
