If you have tight contacts this is your answer to flossing!!’
I wasn’t a routine flosser because I have tight contacts, and regular floss would break, and thin floss would hurt or was a struggle, then it would break. I could never get into the habit. I saw an ad for an electric flosser, and the gadget geek in me had to try it. The flossing experience didn’t hurt, so I kept trying it. I’ve now tried 3 different flossers, and Slate is by far the best. The floss heads don’t break easily. They have a video to show you how to manage with tight contacts. They have a tongue scrapper, floss heads for braces, and floss heads for sensitive teeth. I’ve been using it, and it’s a 10/10 for me!! If you have tight contacts like me, watch the video and give it a try! You won’t regret it!

Best FLOSSER
Never liked to floss. Was very inconsistent!!Now I floss 2X a day. Sometimes even 3 times if I’ve eaten a clack of nuts or homemade trail mix. Will never stop flossing again. It’s faster, easier and effortless.Highly recommend this wonderful flosser. Great customer service too.Lesley L.

Sturdy
It feels very solid and the strength is very good and consistent. Fast but not too fast. And the head is very sturdy....string will not break while using. Only negative is that it has a magnetic cord (where attached to unit) rather than a USB c plug in...which means you have to make sure you never lose this cord..and the part that goes to AC is a usb-c

Great Electronic Flosser!
After two weeks of daily use, I can say that I am pleasantly happy with this purchase. This is an excellent electronic flosser. It's well designed and works. I studied the videos on the proper technique, hold at the grip pad, and sometimes even place a little bit of gum oil on the floss and that helps to make the floss last a little longer. I clean the flosser daily. I have tight contacts so it doesn't last me a full week so far but I am working on learning how to use the flosser more effectively. I may need to purchase the thin floss heads listed on their webpage. I tried the competitor Flaus electronic flosser and returned it shortly after purchasing because it didn't work for me. The flaus floss heads snapped, had slack, and broke way too easily. The Slate Flosser is the superior product in my opinion and hands down is the better design. I appreciate the different floss head options and the rechargeable design. My only feedback is, I reached out with a question via email and didn't receive a response and I wish that they sold the tight contact floss heads on Amazon. They do sell their other floss heads on Amazon Prime.

Slate flosser - a journey worth taking
I was excited to see the Slate Electric Flosser on Amazon as I have been wanting to, and recently did, order one for my daughter. First off, I am now a month plus with almost exclusively using the Slate Flosser. I truly enjoy its results. That said, I wanted to share my Slate journey, because it might be helpful to others who could miss this awesome product, like I almost did, due to their initial experiences.I purchased my first flosser directly from the Slate company about a year ago. Admittedly, my first try with it was not fabulous. I have long been a string-floss gal. I found I had the early stages of gum disease when pregnant with my second child (20 years ago). After the time, pain, and expense of getting my gums and teeth back into shape, I have been a flosser ever since. I have tried various floss picks and long-handled flossers, but keep coming back to string floss. So when I tried the Slate, it was going to be an uphill battle to get me to switch. That battle didn’t start well. My first attempt was frustrating as it took a lot longer than I expected to stand in front of the mirror and figure out the unit angle required to insert the floss between each tooth. And when I bumped my teeth wrong, the vibration would intensify as the flossing unit hit my teeth and startled me. With all the time it was taking just to insert the floss, I really didn’t take the additional time to move the flosser back and forth to allow the gum sweeps to do their job. My zeal waned and I eventually stopped using the flosser.Fast forward eight or so months. I continued to receive occasional emails from Slate with offers and testimonials of people loving the Slate and sharing rave reviews from their dental visits. That, combined with looking at the investment sitting, unused, in the corner of my bathroom counter finally convinced me to give the Slate another shot and stick with it for at least a couple weeks. Initially, I felt the same frustration at how long the process was taking, but noticed that within several days I had built up the muscle memory to efficiently get the floss into the angles of my teeth without having to look in the mirror. I also bumped my teeth with the unit less and less frequently. I started using the gum sweeps and found I really appreciated their function. (The company calls them the secret sauce and I now have to agree.) I even started using the tongue scraper. After a couple weeks, I found that flossing with the Slate was just as fast, if not faster, than with my traditional floss—even with adding the back and forth motion for the gum sweeps. Plus my gums looked and felt so much healthier. Now, while I do occasionally pull out my string floss, my new first choice is the Slate electric flosser. I recommend giving it a try—or a retry. I’m glad I did.

Actually Made Me Start Flossing
I’ve never been great about flossing—it's one of those things I always avoided. But this electric flosser has genuinely helped me stay consistent. It’s simple to use, way less of a hassle than string floss, and doesn’t feel like a chore.I also like that it came with extra tools like the gum stimulator and tongue scraper. What really makes it easier to stick with is how convenient it is to buy refill heads when I need them. Overall, it's made a part of dental care that I used to dread feel doable.
