Q: are they returnable if your pet doesn't like or eat them?

Not sure. I mix mine in with their food

Q: does amazon buy directly from the manufacturer?

Some Veterinarians will sell them on Amazon & some won’t…the ones that won’t, get more money for the product! At least that is what I found out! I also called the company, gave them the numbers on the package/jar & they can tell you exactly what Vet. is selling them on here!

Q: Does any one know if the Dasiquin people have figured out why these treats are so hard?

My cat is almost 17. The last bag I bought caused her jaw to dislocate (like TMJ). I tapped one on my counter, it sounded like a rock, and I couldn't break it with my hands. I called the number on the bag, and they told me that while they know some of them are hard, they shouldn't be THAT hard, and they sent me a replacement bag. They're still just as hard. If anyone finds a better answer, I'd like to know too.
