Smooth & dark. Sharpens to a long point.
Not graphite but has qualities of graphite while being dark like compressed charcoal yet feels smooth . Holds a long sharp point & the wood is great quality - doesn't chip or splinter in the sharpener. Excellent for sketching, drawing, doodling or studious classical work.

Excellent drawing pencils
These are excellent drawing pencils that are a nice matte black finish without having to deal with the "graphite shine"! These are the only pencils I will draw with now.

Excellent art pencil.
This pencil is excellent for drawing. Previous pencils I have purchased i was constantly sharpening as they continuously broke. These have leads that are about twice as thick as other pencils and i haven't broken a lead yet.
