Works and not overpriced
Its very lightweight which makes you think cheap. I ordered a cat 6 bundle and it came with another brand tester which I used one time to compare to this one that I bought for my project. Let me tell you this one is so much better in every aspect. Glad I ordered this instead of using the cheap one that came with my kit. I was able to identify a few bad connections I made with this extremely easy. My eyesight is not very good and I knew I would make some mistakes and this tool helped me locate them fast and easy saving me alot of time. Highly recommend

Very Useful
Works as intended and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend if you are running ethernet cables that are hand crimped, especially for peace of mind

Great value and a very modern continuity tester!
Great value! This is a simple continuity tester and these new models no longer require the expensive 9 volt batteries, but instead use the cheaper and more common AA batteries (2x) and they include the batteries! The unit does not have a start or stop test button, as older units use to require. Instead, it auto-senses when the cables are inserted to both sides and starts the test in either fast or slow mode (user switchable) automatically. The fast/slow switch has a third position to turn the tester off. That's all it is in a nutshell. Please read the documentation to understand what the lights mean. I've scanned it and shared it here for you if that should help you decide if you want to purchase it.

Works great
This is a great little tester. It has sets of lights on each side.As it tests the individual wires, it will flash the light green, when the circuit checks out OK.I just used it and all the lights but #2 flashed, meaning that wire has no connection so my cable is bad.Yesterday, as I was testing a cable I just made, left side flashed lights from 1 thru 8, but the right side flashed from 8 to 1. It was telling me that one of the connectors was installed backwards.I checked and sure enough. I did install one of them with wires in reverse order.By the way. Someone trashed it in the review and criticized all the flashing lights. Too bad that someone did not read the instructions.

Simple functionality and cheap
Very simple cable tester. Doesn’t have a lot of functionality aside from just seeing if a cable is connected correctly but that’s what it’s for. So reasonable for the price.

Check the connecting cables before testing the line.
This device is plug and play, it works very well and is worth the money.
