Taste great like the original, but slightly spicier
Got a bottle of these after I noticed the Rooster Huy Fung sriracha sauce wasnât the same. It was sweeter, less flavorful, and way less spicier than it used to be. HOWEVER, this Underwood Ranch sauce tastes EXACTLY like a spicier version of the original Rooster sriracha sauce. Itâs slightly spicier than I remember, but MAN itâs noticeably more concentrated with a far more discernible taste. Yeah, itâs a bit more expensive per bottle but IMO, worth the money for a delicious sauce.

Spicy lovers, try this out!!
I picked up Schuriracha Sauce at Costco on a whimâand instantly fell in love. The flavor sits between Tabasco and classic Sriracha: not too vinegary, not overly sweet, just the right amount of tangy heat with a smooth, garlicky finish.Itâs insanely versatileâI use it on everything:đ Hot dogsđ Pizzađ„Ș Sandwichesđ„ EggsEven a little drizzle on avocado toast takes it to the next level. When I went back to Costco to get a second bottle and saw it was discontinued, I was genuinely sad. But then⊠voilĂ ! Found it on Amazon! đ I immediately bought three bottles to stock up.If youâre looking for something that gives your food a kick without overpowering the flavor, this is it. Schuriracha is my new pantry MVP.

Complex Gourmet Flavor
Underwood Ranches Limited Edition Dragon Sriracha Sauce is amazing. I'd love to get my hands on original Sriracha that first became so popular, to do a taste comparison, but people who have done that say it really is the same--the old bottles that still exist have just dulled a little in flavor over time. The stuff sold in supermarkets today, though, is just garbage. I couldn't understand why people liked Sriracha. That stuff's like ketchup, but this is a complex layered component of a well-paired recipe. If you put it on eggs, it's not just eggs with heat, it's a mouthful of flavors.

It's the good stuff.
So glad I found this. I bought 2 bottles and it tastes like the classic. What happened with the original sriracha owner and the farm was so disappointing. So glad the original farmer didn't give up. This for sure tastes the original and the bottle has a better design. The cost is not bad the flavor is spot on and the spice is what it's supposed to be. Will for sure buy this again when I run out.

Better than the Original
This is a great product. It has all the balance of flavor along with the right level of spice. I tried this when the rooster was missing in action and I am glad I did. I'll never go back, it is way superior to all others I have used.

Is this the replacement youâve been working for?
First, the rooster is back and affordable although itâs also slightly different in flavor and color.I call this sauce the dragon.History: this siracha is made by the farmer who grew the peppers for the rooster. The rooster and farmer had a falling out resulting in a shortage of sauce despite lots of peppers being available. The new peppers are from Mexico while the original pepper farm in California turned to making their own hot sauce because they needed to do something.Side by side thereâs a definite difference but itâs possible that you might not notice as much if youâve been months without. Itâs pleasantly close. So, as a substitute it wins. I can recommend this if you canât get the original. The rooster is back on the market, so if the question is not âwhat are alternativesâ but âwhich is betterâ and âwhat is the price difference?â then the conversation and recommendation is different.Price: Do your own comparison but when I purchased the rooster was cheaper by a lot.Taste: My wife and I went back and forth testing the flavor but had a clear winner. The new rooster does seem a little different than my memory but itâs still my preference. Thereâs an upfront sweetness and then a journey that ends a little salty and savory. The dragon sauce (this one) seemed the same upfront as ending. It was okay but wasnât preferred over the rooster.Heat: My wife and I didnât notice a huge variation of heat. Iâll note that jalapeños can vary dramatically and the peppers you grow next to them can impact their heat (want spicy jalapeños in your garden, grow habanero or hotter peppers next to them). So my batch was the same but I can see variation in batches if the supplier is not mindful of how their peppers are grown. I would expect the dragon to be consistent based on their history of consistency from my experience. Still, my batch was equal in spice so I call a tie.Color: If you care the new rooster is more orange while the dragon is clearly more red in the photos and in person. Does it matter? I donât know but itâs different.Summary:The dragon is fantastic if there were a sudden rooster shortage again and prices get dumb but youâre paying a premium and if the rooster is available at the same or less price, I pick the rooster. It hits a happy spot better than the dragon. So, I encourage you to decide which sauce makes you the happiest but my wallet and tastebuds lean towards the rooster. Ultimately I wish the companies hadnât split because their powers combined made a better product than either are making now (per my memory).

The real deal
From the farm of the OG sriracha hot sauce, this is the flavor, texture, and quality you remember! The consistency / thickness of the sauce is just right! No crazy ingredients and the size and design of the bottle is just right! The bottles are plastic so there's no worries about breaking them.
