These work really well, especially for the very reasonable price. Some of the welds are a little crooked, but nothing that really affects the gate operation or the looks. The screws are already rusting, so you might want to use better ones than the ones that came in the kit. They are painted the same as the rest of the kit, but of course you end up scraping most of that off where the bit goes in to tighten it. I used different screws on the second gate and I'll replace these screws if they get too bad.

The kit is very strong. Screws not good but can use your own.

Used 2 sets of these for a double gate. It works great almost a year later. I did switch out the screws to a more heavy duty decking screws

While the product works, the screws provided strip very easily and lost the anti-rust coating as they were installed. The holes on the brackets are in weird places

This takes the guess work out of building a gate. Very simple step by step instructions for even the most novice of fence builders. Once completed the gate has been sturdy enough to take the abuse of 3 grandkids under 5, a gigantic Rottweiler and an angry wife. I’m still not exactly sure what I did but the fence looks good! This gate kit is designed to aid in building a wooden gate. It makes building a gate so much easier and I definitely recommend this kit. The steel 90 degree angles aid in keeping the gate square and rigid. Building a gate is a little more effort than measure cut and screw the pieces together. The painted finish is prone to wear off and the lower metal pieces will rust out, as will un-protected screws, but that will take several years. I would suggest adding a coating to the metal brackets before installing; something like an automotive undercoater. I would also suggest using coated screws with a star or square drive. Staining or painting your gate fence will add years to its lifespan.

Not worth the money. Poor quality, the welds are poorly done causing the wood not to seat correctly. I had to buy additional metal parts in order to make the door sturdy. Also, right after the first rain the screws are showing signs of rust. Don’t waste your money on these poor quality material.
