I use this product in many layers on birch wood board. After about 11 coats I sand it down with fine grit sandpaper and little spray of water. The surface then becomes like smooth and you can paint on top of it. If you’re asking about canvas sanding I’m not sure. It might damage the canvas

Q: Is this a thick medium meant to be mixed? Mine is unpourable due to thickness

It can be mixed with paint or you can brush it over the paint to give an iridescent look. I prefer mixing it with whatever color I want to be iridescent. It is very thick so it's easy to control.

Q: Is there a heavy structure gel for OIL paints?

Winsor and Newton makes Liquin Impasto and Oleopasto Mediums for oil paints. These will come in a 200ml tube and have a consistency similar to toothpaste. Williamsburg makes an impasto medium in a can that has a similar thickness, and Gamblin makes Cold Wax Medium that will be almost solid and thinnable with Gamsol or another odorless mineral spirit. These would be the most popular (and high quality) options for an oil painting equivalent to an acrylic structure gel.

Q: Will this thin out acrylic paint for acrylic pouring?

Yes, this can be used as a pouring medium. It is very similar to Floetrol in sheen and viscosity.
