relatively cheap and works fine
was surprised by how heavy-duty it was - pretty quick and easy to assemble - i did use my own tools - but the screws all lined up and were long enough to bolt on. I used it to spread 2,600 lbs of masonry sand on my scalped zoysia lawn. Worked like a champ. I've used shovel and rake before - and this is MUCH BETTER - both more accurate and quicker. Anyway - all my leveling did rub the paint off of the leading edge of the ground plate cross members - which is a little bit of a bummer. But not enough to knock the rating down - It's still working fine. If you're working at a golf course you might want one with better paint or wider or heavier - but for a home owner with a small or medium sized lawn this is perfect.

Tremendous Quality!
Tremendous Quality! Comes in a small box—was leery, was easy to put together. When assembled it is sturdy and stable, very well engineered. It works very well!

Good for the price, with some additions at assembly
Good product if you take the time and effort to make it flat. I was impressed with this budget leveler.Pros:-Sturdy-Long handle-Spreads dirt well-Saved me time leveling my lawn-Cheap and effective-Comfortable grip, but see cons about nubsCons: to be fair, while there are cons I’d buy this again in a heartbeat-The handle clicks together in small shippable pieces. Makes sense in our current world, but rotating the handle has some slop and I imagine may fail eventually. Easy fix if that day comes.-The click together handle means lots of joints and raised nubs. This thing is not comfortable to use with two hands with a push broom motion. I was truly impressed with how sturdy it is for all the piece parts. The handle is 11 pieces.-This thing was not flat after assembly, which was expected unfortunately. I needed to use pop can shims to level it out during assembly. Maybe 30 minutes of extra time and a sacrificed can.

Works well
This is a very solid tool. Less than 10 minutes to assemble. Would have been quicker if I went and got my wrench vs using the junky one included but still got it done easily. I kind of wish I got the 36" vs 30 but my yards not that big. I spread 4 cubic yards of a compost/cow manure/topsoil mix and this worked very well, much better than just a rake like I've done in the past. It's made in China, so that's a downfall but again, its built well and works well.

An Honest review by Brandon
First thing I would like to state, I never knew these existed and if you ever do any kind of landscaping in your yard and need to get that flat level surface, YOU NEED THIS.I honestly have not 1 bad thing to say about this leveler. I have many positives though.1- Height adjustment, I am 5'10" and my wife a staggering 5 ft on the dot. So being able to change the length of the handle is great.2- Usually with adjustable handles you get to a point where the pole is bendy and not sturdy. Well this is not the case with this and that makes me very pleased.3- Metal rake gone, using the backside of the metal rake is what I always used, while you can get a flat spots just fine you do not know how level the area is. This takes that out of the equation. It effortlessly glides back and forth getting you a flat level surface.4- Accidently left it out in an unexpected storm here in the south, was like great this thing is going to be rusted all over, I am proud to say it didn't bother the leveler one bit.5- I hate yard work, we have redone our yard probably 3 or 4 times including tilling it. We have 5 dogs, so back yard is always a pain. This literally makes a lot of it so much easier with the holes and divets.

Almost good
The handle is connected to the rake with 2 tac welds… They broke within 5 mins of using this rake.

Great Beginner Tool to Start Lawn Leveling
My wife and I purchased a new custom home last July. Being a new build, we had some low spots that needed to be corrected and leveled. These were mainly from the irrigation system that was installed, but also some spots where sod appeared to have less soil attached or even spots where they didn't get the sod butted up properly. I wanted to get something that was lower cost and could still get the job done until I'm ready to top dress and level the entire lawn. After reading some reviews, this one seemed to fit the bill. Build quality is sturdy and should last a long time if taken care of. The bottom leveling part of the tool wasn't perfectly level, but wasn't too far off. I was able to prop it up on my patio and give it a couple of firm taps and bent it where it was perfectly straight. I think if I was in the market to purchase another entry level leveling rake, I would look for one that does not have a multi piece leveling part of the tool and instead is a one piece welded design as this one has a couple of pieces that bolt together. However, I'm not unhappy with my purchase at all as it did exactly what I needed. I like the handle design of this one being a multi piece as it allows for quick and easy assembly and disassembly. One added benefit is that I was able to shorten it enough to let my son help as he always wants to help and participate in anything I am working on.
