These pens have large ball points and are super smooth writing. They are my favorite low-cost general purpose pens! They don't leak and they are comfortable to use. 5 stars!

These are the best pens I’ve found in the past decade. I am extremely picky because I’m a lefty and a contractor that uses writing utensils on job sites from plans to wood measurements with a subcontractor to even contracts. My biggest problem for over 50 years have always been the thin tips I can break off, not get any ink from to the tip breaking entirely but once my daughter showed me these 1.6mm pens exists I haven’t been able to use anything else. I love the blue ones because I typically like a lawyer use those yellow note sheet pads to write on and it’s so much easier to see blue ink on than black ink on it. I also love it for use on official documents and signing contracts as well its a lot easier on my wrists as well.If you are a pen connoisseur like myself and don’t want to break the bank on pens that can be lost easily as many can and from my home office, the expensive messenger bag my daughter bought me (after 40 years of being mobile building with reusable plastic bags to carry paper and spilling coffee she not only got me a bag that wasn’t a briefcase because those were great for my corporate jobs but not at all in my SUV or job sites for me to reuse at all. Then over the years I’ve seen her style from high school to college, grad school for business, city volunteer politics and into Fortune 500 company job with corporate America I’ve seen her purses, lack of purses and migration to tank bags on her sport motorcycle with backpacks that held helmets then to tote bags and messenger bags that carried her purse items in it too there wasn’t a bag neither of had seen reasonable for a dirty job site that wasn’t very feminine and plain black without any print even brand names)That is until this holiday where she found me the perfect one so hopefully I won’t be losing and finding pens on an average of about 2-3 a week overall gone and having to rebuy but these Velocity 1.6mm are extremely durable as I’ve dropped a few on the ground and then stepped on them in my work boots and nothing happened to them not even a broken clip on the side.I will say I live a block away from Target, Staples, and a bunch of other places where the lowest I’ve seen these pens for a single box for was $15.99 and then last week I went to Staples needing ink where my daughter does all the stocking of my office supplies and manages all my paperwork I’m so greatful it’s been a while since being in a supply store and this same box right now is $21.99 at Staples sadly. Amazon is the Best Deal and won’t go anywhere else. Definitely worth the money, the quality and the price.

Great writing pen, non smearing and smooth ink. Great in black too.

They write so write and better than more expensive pens...imo.

(I wrote the same review for the black version of these pens)I write a LOT, and am a list maker: notes, studies, descriptions, thoughts, you name it. Through the years I've had a few favorite pens, but when I stumbled upon these - as well as the same type in black ink - that was it! I fell in love with using these pens, I have one in nearly every room of the house now. The ink is dark, bold (as the name/description states), and extremely comfortable and smooth to write with. I have carpal tunnel, so using a pen that can keep up with me is a tall order. I've ordered these pens numerous times, and will continue to do so. I have also purchased these pens in red and green.However, I had to subtract one star for the following reasons:After writing a few lines, or a page worth of things, the tip of the pen gets 'gloopy.' I've taken to keeping a tissue or napkin close by to wipe off the tip as needed. While storing the red/green pens in a desk stand, I found that the ink actually seeped out of the tips, then hardened and actually clogged the end of the pen where the tip retracts into. Not what you want!The amount of ink has also markedly decreased over the years. When I first started using these pens, the ink seemed to last forever; no more. I go through them much faster than before, which leads me to....Apparently there are NO REFILLS for these pens, which means I end up throwing out a perfectly good pen with a still perfectly-good casing, which is very disturbing from a recycling POV. But...that's just how things are made, nowadays, right, Bic? Such a waste and terrible for the environment!!!Bic also can't figure out what to call these pens; through the years, they've been known as Velocity, or Atlantis, or (now) Glide/Glisse. I wish Bic could make up their mind about this.While I enjoy using these pens, and will continue to purchase them as long as Bic makes them, they would really do themselves a favor by listening to their customers and fixing these product issues.
