PERFECT PRACTICE (Improved) Putting Mat for Indoors - Indoor/Outdoor Putting Green with Ball Return, Realistic Surface Golf Putting Mat, Lay-Flat Technology

For as expensive as these are, the build quality/quality control on Perfect Practice’s end is clearly not up to par.For one, the plastic base both looks and feels cheap in person. Second, the matt had four pretty severe bumps/creases upon unrolling that I could only mitigate—not eliminate. The end of the matt wouldn’t stay down either, but instead stayed curled up off the ground a bit. So much for the “lay flat technology.”Finally, what sealed the deal for me was the way the matt was installed off the base. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong at first, but I kept rolling 7-footers that hugged the center line only to dart left during the last 2.5ft and miss the cup. I thought maybe my floor was off, but when I put a level down it showed my floor was, if anything, only slightly off-level and *in the opposite direction* as the putts were breaking. So that couldn’t explain it. Then I checked to make sure I’d rolled the matt out straight, and I confirmed the entire unit was running parallel to the seams in our floor’s vinyl planks. So that couldn’t explain it either.So what was it? Well, when I took a look down the line from behind the base, I noticed the matt was not hanging off the end evenly. Whereas it fell taught on one side (i.e. t he right from the far end of the matt), it hung more loosely on the other (i.e. the left from the far end of the matt), and there was no way to correct.. So no matter how good a roll I could ever put on the ball, it was always going to miss the cup to the left side with this unit…That was extremely frustrating, and because of that I have no intent to even bother trying a new unit (Roll-a-Putt or otherwise). I’m just going to return this and go back to rolling putts on my carpet.Side notes: Others have commented on the slope at the end being a turnoff for them, and I will say that, although that wouldn’t have been a deal-breaker for me, it really is an abrupt upslope and I can see why some people don’t like it. Also, I found the ball return for this to be mildly annoying, as it doesn’t roll/unroll as easily as the matt does and was a pain in the a$$.

This is exactly what I was looking for... something to practice dead straight/level putts, that is extremely easy to roll up and put away, then set it back up. The putting surface seems to be high quality, as is the backing. Auto return track sends ball back most of the way... although the black hole in my closet may be affecting that. I put a bit of cushy shelf liner in the hole to dampen the *thunk* when I make a putt (dog is a light sleeper).Convenient and very functional.Definitely recommended

Works great for getting your putting stroke straight. Smooth transition up the ramp - no bumps along the way. Easily rolls up to put away if necessary. .

The product is exactly as described; I popped it out of the box and started practicing in my family room. Nice bag so that i can take it on the road with me.
