Works great at night and during the day!
We have had trouble with someone coming to our house and causing issues. This works great inside and we also left it on our porch chair just in case they came to the front door. It was covered so it didn't get rained on. It caught a lot of deer outside our front door. We didn't even realize we had that many in our neighborhood! LOL

SDCard recording not working
Recently bought this camera and try to setup local sdcard recording.I don't see option for record after 256gb sdcard inserted in the camera and format per manual. Does anyone notice this issue and any suggestion to setup sdcard recording.

Best D-link camera to get for indoor use
Works great, the color isn’t as vibrant as the previous models but it makes up for it in a sharper much more detailed image, must be higher megapixels same resolution. It works great, and the color black is better doesn’t reflect as much if placed on a window ledge looking out into the yard.

Do NOT buy this junk, will not connect to WiFi, D-Link offers NO support.
Absolute garbage. Spent hours trying to connect this to my network. So disgusted with this. No suporton the website, no trouble shooting, no response from support. By now this kind of product has been around long enough that this shouldn't be happening. It should be as simple as adding any other device to the WiFi. You select the network, enter the password, and you're done. But this requires an app, and QR codes and all kinds of steps none of which do a damn thing. Will be returning.

Doing it’s job
I didn’t have any issues getting this camera connected and working. Giving it 4-stars instead of 5 because it does not have an ethernet port.Note, that if your wifi network is not broadcasting your SSID (aka network name) it takes another step or two to enter it manually. The ‘manually’ part is not in the instructions so best way to get around that is to try to connect to another network near-by, maybe a neighbor, who is broadcasting their SSID, let the camera ‘fail’ then scroll down and add yours. The 8526 cams are alot better but no longer available. If I wasn’t already using DLink I would (or will later) go with another brand.

Better of the various Dlink cameras I have purchased
This camera plays back video well from SD card or Cloud. There was an infrequent issue with the person's body "strobing" (jumping around) on the viewing screen. Only the human moving body would do this on the screen. This camera's firmware was updated upon opening the box.
