Compact size
This unit had the right connectors I needed to accommodate a new Cheomebook with only 2 USB slots. I’m also able to use it as a charger with the lap tops original cable plugged in. It’s worth the price.

Works Great for the Weary Traveler
Got this for my husband who travels so he doesn’t have to weigh his backpack down with chargers. Works great, he’s happy.

Worked for a bit, still partially works, but partially failed.
Worked for a month or so then the HDMI and VGA stopped working, though the rest of the device still works fine. Still troubleshooting likely causes (I am using linux not windows so it gets a little more complicated to backtrack issues.)

Pretty much everything you need in a compact dock
Many devices these days come with only a few USB-C ports. A dock like this comes in very useful for attaching more devices, and this particular model has a lot to offer. You get two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0, a USB type C, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, and a USB PD input capable of charging the connected device. A blue LED lights up when the hub is connected to your device indicating that it has power -- it can be powered via the PD port or the host device which is convenient.I connected this to my Samsung Galaxy S22 and Note 9 and the HDMI port displayed the DeX desktop and allowed me to use a USB mouse and keyboard (though it did not seem to detect the Ethernet port). This makes it a useful dock on the go for Samsung devices even if it's not advertised as such.

Wonderful
My laptop has a severe shortage of ports. When I plug this in between my regular power chord and the laptop, I now have enough ports to run NASA.

Lots of ports, works good for travelers and remote work
This is the second USB Type C dock I've tried and this one is working better than the other that I had returned. I'm happy to say that this dock IS NOT drawing so much power from the Dell 45W Type C power adapter for my Dell Latitude 7200 2-in-1 laptop that the laptop reports insufficient power. To be fair, I haven't tested it with many other peripherals attached, such as an external USB monitor, but I did try it with an ethernet cable and didn't have any issues. As with most of these devices, it uses a Realtek chipset for ethernet, which isn't a big problem if you're using Windows OS, might add a challenge if there aren't drivers available for your MAC or Linux/Unix OS, but generally it's plug and play. The smooth aluminum housing feels nice in hand and solid. Ports are all cleanly machined out with no oddly fitting jacks. The cable is thick but flexible and the Type C male plug is encased in aluminum also.Perhaps the only interface missing is a DisplayPort or mini-DisplayPort, but otherwise, video ports are served by both HDMI and VGA.
