Q: Can I start and stop the operation of the motor remotely with a volt free contact? If so what are the terminal numbers?

yes you can. The instruction leaflet has the pin numbers - I don't have it in front of me. But what you really need for safe operation is a latched contact like a standard motor control panel. This is easily done. I can send a simple circuit as a pdf. There is a 12V output available so a simple double pole relay and a normally open and a normally closed pushbutton are required. In order for the remote pins to work you must use the menu section to enable this. Email me for more details.
