Q: How much should be added to a gallon of water?

I have never heard of adding it to water. Just fork in a handful around established plants and then water in and/or use as the previous person advises.

Q: is blood fish and bone suitable for use on grass seed after the lawn has been scarifide

possibly - wouldn't damage the grass but an Autumn lawn feed would be better and if you have pets they seem to like to try and eat blood fish and bone which isn't a good idea.

Bone meal is a good organic source of phosphorus; So therefore it is good for your grape plants.

Q: it would seem that the 5kg tub does not have the added potash. Is that correct? And it is powder form, not pellets? Hopefully not easy to breath in!

Not sure about the potash, but I add wood ash for some crops anyway. It's powder, but dense and heavy. It's great stuff, I use it for both ornamentals and vegetables, always chuck some in when repotting, planting shrubs etc. I get great crops, especially onions and beans.
