I was pleasantly surprised by this rice/grain cooker. I bought it to save me having to drag out my heavy Instant Pot every time I wanted to cook rice (also to save on the washing up), but I also wanted to stop buying rice in a plastic pouch that you microwave for two minutes. I cooked jasmine rice in it last night and it turned out perfect and nice and fluffy. Also kept the rice nice and warm when going back for seconds. Easy to use and easy to clean. Rice basket comes with a handle and also a measuring cup. The only negative is text for instructions could have been a bit bigger and the cup would have been better with black text (very difficult to see). Can highly recommend this product.

I do like the design of this product and it does work but it took me a little while to get my head round the instructions because I normally cook sushi rice. After going online to search for videos, I realised that you just cook sushi rice like Jasmine rice. It is easy to clean and compact in size so it's easy to store away. I don't believe this is better than the conventional rice cookers though but for the size and the fact that it does cook rice (perfect after a few trials and errors) it's worth it. The only thing I would advise that may be deemed negative is that the excess water does overspill onto the lid. So you get a puddle of water on the lid once the rice has finished cooking and left to rest. Also, it does create some level of condensation in the microwave so be prepared to wipe it down after using it. Overall, I would recommend getting this if you have a small family like me (4 - 2 adults and 2 young children) as this enables us to bring the rice cooker to the table and let the children serve up their own portion which they love to do. Previously we had quite a big electronic rice cooker (it's an Asian thing) and so storing and bringing it out was a hassle. It took up too much room on the kitchen work surface so we had to store it away every time we did not need to use it.
