Perfect for bangs and other small jobs!
I this to Europe last month, and it worked perfectly with my European plug adapter (no converter needed). It felt just as hot as my regular straightener. It's just big enough to straighten bangs and manage the odd kink here and there from falling asleep on wet hair, but it's not going to straighten a full head of hair, and it won't really curl long hair. I wore my hair up most of the time and just wanted to do my bangs, so this was perfect. I traveled carryon only had had to weight every item I packed to stay under Lufthansa's 8 kg/17 lb limit, so I loved the light weight and compact size of this straightener! It also comes with a heatproof carrying case lined with foil, so you can pack it again immediately after using it. I'm thrilled with this item; not only will it work great in every country without a converter, it's going to come in handy for domestic trips because of its size. [In case anyone is confused... This has American prongs on it. To use it in most other countries, you need an ADAPTER, which simply gives you the correct prongs for the wall plug. You do not need a CONVERTER, which is a more complicated device that allows certain powerful electronics (such as full-sized curling irons and blowdryers) to work overseas without blowing the fuse.]

Perfect for travel.
The media could not be loaded. I got this nice little and compact hair straightener for my trip to the beach. It is small and liteweight. Perfect for a trip. It heats up really fast, with in seconds it is very hot. It comes with a pouch to tuck it away in. You do need to move slow through your hair because the heated part is small but it does a good job. I made a little video to show how nice it is.Also I like the comfort of the design to hold it. Fits nicely in my hand. Not heavy like the bigger bulkier ones are. I took my time and shopped around for a travel one. I think this will be good to use every day. It doesn’t take up much space either.

Nice and compact!
I wanted a small straightener to take when I travel. This works very well. It heats up fast. The heat panels are a little small so you have to do multiple sections but that’s to be expected because it’s small. I also really like the travel case. The iron part fits in one packet and the cord fits in an outside pocket so it’s easy to pack and use. I also like the heat resistant liner. After and during using the straighter, I test the hot portion on the travel cases heat resistant section of the cases close cover. This way, I know it’s cooling safely. Great product! I highly recommend it.

Fantastic for me for travel to Ireland and England
I read dozens of reviews before ordering this and concluded that experiences differ due to different types of hair and expectations. I was a little worried, but I am so glad I got it, because it worked perfectly for me. I have thick, medium textured, curly/wavy hair that frizzes easily, especially in humid weather. My hair is medium length (just touching shoulders) and starting to go grey. My goal was not to get it totally smooth (practically impossible!) but rather to get it so that I wasn't embarrassed to go out in public, with it frizzy and sticking out horizontally (Bozo-like). I wasn't at all sure that it would be powerful enough. I am happy to say that I loved it. The voltage worked perfectly in Ireland and England; you do need a plug converter. It heated up immediately, much more quickly than my regular big straightener, and also cooled off quickly when turned off. I really liked the way it could get close to my part (where a lot of frizz happens). It was surprisingly powerful. It was fantastic for touch-ups. After I washed my hair, when it is most curly, it did well; in 10 minutes, it had subdued my hair enough that I was fine going out in public. The little case is great, and it slipped into my luggage seeming to take no space. Luckily Ireland/England were not as humid as it gets in the summer where I live (where it can be really hard to straighten my hair with any straightener). I showed it to my 20-something daughter, who immediately ordered one and found it worked well on her trip; her hair is straighter and not quite as thick as mine but her standards of straightness are also higher. Anyway, this was one of my favorite travel purchases ever, and I plan to use it at home as well. Hope your experience is as fantastic.

Not bad for travel, would not use this every day
The pros: very small, compact, and supposedly adjust automatically between 120/240vThe cons: only one heat setting (on or off), you have to be mindful of where your hand is at all times, unless you have very tiny hands. I pinched my hand and fingers at least four times the first time I use this because of the design. Also, I found myself turning the straightener off on accident. There are grips further up the barrel, but it is a very unnatural position to use a straightener (using just your thumb and pointer finger high up on the straightener). I'm sure after a few tries I could get used to that. Having fine hair, I'm a little concerned about using this too often. It seems to catch at the end of my hair rather than gliding off like all of my other straighteners. Over time I can definitely see this damaging the ends of my hair, and does make the final appearance of my hair less smooth van with my regular straightener. Not a deal killer for travel, but definitely not something I would use everyday. Also, because it is so tiny you do need to use very small pieces at any given time, which does make it take a lot longer. if you have very thick hair or very long hair, I don't know that I would recommend this. All in all, this is a decent straightener for the price and for international travel. Just be aware of the negatives!

Excellent Flat Iron
Im really pleased with this flat iron! Purchased for a trip to Europe. One thing to note that it is small-much smaller than a regular hair straightener. If you have loads of hair, this probably isn't for you. For me, I just need to do my bangs and the top of my head, so it works out great. The small size is awesome because it fits nicely in my carry-on, which is all I travel with. I suggest practicing with it at home before your trip, to get used to the size. The pouch is really nice as well.
