Odyssey Golf XACT Chipper

Your friends will mock you, but my first time out with this club I probably shaved 10 strokes off my score. I was hitting this thing from as far away as 50 yards and getting on the green for a put. I hit the flagpole twice in one round from 30+ yards away. I had no issues with feel and hit the ball close to the pin on probably 80%. ALL SHOTS made it from the rough or fairway onto the green. Zero error on the first time out. Honestly, the club is too good and I expect it to get banned eventually. The low handicappers will laugh at you. The score is what matters, however.

Did not come with Headcover as stated. Very happy with this chipper. Had some great bump and run shots from about 70 yards out to some amazing chips off the fringe. If you consistently get hung up in the grass or chunk your chips this club should work great for you.

Received this today and immediately took it out to the practice facility in my back yard. After hitting several chips from tight lies and medium rough, I think it's going to go into the bag. I do wish it came with a head cover, but I probably have one around here somewhere that will work. That's the only negative.NOTE: The specs on the Amazon site are incorrect. It has a loft of 37 degrees (just about a 9-iron), not 3 degrees. A putter typically has a 3 degree loft. The lie angle is 70 degrees. I would hope that anyone who plays golf could look at the picture and determine that, but it bears clarifying.

If you struggle with chipping like I do, this club will help you. Helps chipping off tight grass especially.

So I have the ping chipr and even with that I kept doing that same wonderful thin shot: your are 10 yards to the pin and instead of placing it next to the hole you shoot the ball 60 yards over into the forest (some of you dear readers my recognise that disaster of a shot)I played with this chipper today and this just works!!! I am the kind of guy that can get ok near the green but start trembling at the idea of a short chip. Finally this club does what I cannot do with other clubs consistently. I use a claw putter grip and do a putting stroke and it works like a charm. I had 1 mis hit due to a bad lie but the rest all awesome shots.I am super happy with it and I can’t recommend this enough to anyone who is like me. And who cares what people say about using a chipper?? If it saves me 10 strokes why wouldn’t I use it. I am no Tiger Woods, I am more like a Bear Lakes. Love this club and it is permanently in the bag (instead of 3 wood!)10 out of 10 for me!

What a great club... easy to use

This club has saved me from rocketing the ball across the greens like I used to when chipping. It is a definite game saver and a fun club to use at that. I highly recommend this club for people struggling with chipping close around the greens.
