Q: How is this device powered? I don't see any mention of batteries.

No batteries are required. The device work similar to a set of headphones You plug the cord into the device (MP3 player, computer, tablet, etc.) and put the loop around your neck. You must have the t-coil feature on your hearing aid in order for it to work. Turn on the t-coil and the sound is relayed from the device through the neck loop to your hearing aids.

Q: how to use in my church for the podium microphone?

You need a "loop receiver" and T-coils in your hearing aids, assuming the church is "induction looped".

Q: What do i need to make this neck loop wireless from the tv to my t-coil in my hearing aids??

We use this with the Williams Assistive listening system in our church, having a battery pack to which this attaches, and the transmitter at the soundboard. It connects by Bluetooth, I believe, to the hearing aid.
