I don't know but they are great tongs. Best I've ever had!

Are these a soft silicone head or a hard plastic?

Our tongs are manufactured from a premium 100% Food Grade Silicone BPA and PVC free that won't scratch your non-stick pans or grill grates, and are heat resistant up to 480 degrees F, perfect for turning large cuts of meat while barbecuing!

Is the spring rust resistant?

The ring on the 11” tong is very rusted making it very hard to open and close. This is the size I use most often. I’m not sure I would order them again. Stainless shouldn’t rust.
