Q: Do these have a niosh or osha rating?

Hello! We are very excited to currently be in the final testing phase for NIOSH approval. This testing has many stages and is where other masks get their rating. So far in the process, our filters have been tested to block 99.9% of particulates down to .1 micron. An N95 or N99 rating means that a mask filters at least 95% or 99% of particulates down to .3 micron. However, because we are still in the testing phase, we have not yet received a rating.

Q: How long does a filter last - or should I say how do I know when I need to change it?

I replace mine whenever it appears soiled or begins to smell dirty. In cooler weather they last much longer, but may start to mildew in hot weather if not dried thoroughly. Any doubt, change it.

Q: Does this mask filter out fumes as well as particles?

Our F1 and F3 active carbon filters are very effective towards certain fumes and odors. However, different products can contain varying ingredients that may require different levels of respiratory filtration. We always advise you to follow the manufacturer's safety instructions for the products you are using. RZ Mask should only be used with VOC free or water based products.

Q: Is there any kind of replacement filter valves? The gasket came out of one of mine so it isn't actually filtering. I don't want to buy a new mask

Impressive quality, a little uncomfortable

This is a great mask for woodworking! I was impressed with the quality of the materials and what is included at the price.In the box: a mask, replacement filter, cloth storage bag (with a small carabiner on it!), valve tool (also attached to the bag), and instructions.The fit is a little uncomfortable. The strap is a hook and loop and when it is fit snug, I find it putting pressure on the back of my neck toward the base of my skull. This also pushes the bridge of my nose inwards. I might have to fiddle around with the fit a little.I don’t find that it gets in the way of any protective eyewear, and had minimal fogging!Bottom line, it’s a good value for the price.

Love this mask.

I’m a silversmith and need to wear a mask when working. Lots of small particles get airborne as I work. This mask is very comfortable, btw I bought a medium. Easy to put on and easy to breath. The nose piece can be manipulated to sit comfortably on the nose to keep out dust and particles. The mask has a zelcro closure on the back of the neck that makes it easy to fit comfortably. Comes with extra filters. I purchased the 1st RZ MASK 2 years ago. I feel that it held up well. I recently ordered a new one, but this time I ordered the large and I find it’s even more comfortable and has better coverage. My face is a bit narrow, yet pretty average. Well made! I recommend the mask.

Great fit, easy to take on/off or replace filters

Working with power tools and wood generates a lot of dust which can be harmful to your lungs over time. This mask is super easy to store, put on/take off, and filter installation is a breeze.Highly recommended!

Comfortable enough to wear for hours

This dust mask was very comfortable to wear, didn't restrict my breathing and was able to wear my glasses with and the glasses didn't fog up even working in unheated garage.
