Yes, the item can be pole mounted. You can just use pole mount kits to install the item , which come with panel and hoop strips . ( Step 1: Fix the panels on the box bottom part. Can lock shackle 1/4” fit on to this box lock hole?

Hello there, we have measured latch and here is the data: the diameter of the hole is 0.22", the width from the edge of the hole to the edge of the latch is 0.17", the hight of latch when close the lid is 0.35". Hope this can help.
