Oh yes. Just right. And now an extra quartz sleeve is on hand, cleaned and ready to install next year -- or earlier, in case of some unanticipated event. Overtightening has been the death of 2. I may have the hang of it now.

Replacement sleeve from the OEM

My yearly replacement bulb. Came in packaged well and undamaged like always. No complaints and as always, my water tests come back perfect.

I purchased this quartz sleeve back in October of 2017 to change out in my UV when I replaced the bulb in November. Unfortunately I had had the plumber mount it vertically and was unable to remove the old one at the time. As We we're planning to replace our Vitasalus carbon filter system tank this spring, I waited until then and had the plumber make the system fully accessible. When I removed the tube, I discovered that the new one was 2 inches shorter than the old one and was not interchangeable. I thoroughly cleaned the old tube and reinstalled it with no problems. Now I find that I cannot exchange it for the proper size because it has been over six months. I also cannot get in touch with the original company because that information isn't available on my expired order and all I get from Amazon is links to their help page, which is no help at all. I had hoped to get some action as the tube is unused and in original box, but was denied. I understand the situation but am still disappointed. Chalk it up as a life lesson and moved on.

Well packaged and timely received. Probably should have a spare, since the system is inoperative without it. I will be more careful when handling this one.

Excellent quality OEM product. Packaged perfectly. Quality shows in the packaging as well.O-rings were included. Instructions were excellent. Extra cost, but well worth it.

I preemptively bought this sleeve in case it needed to be replaced when I recently changed the bulb out. I tried to replace the old quartz sleeve with this one; however, it would not fit through the bottom hole. Upon comparison with the old sleeve, this one has slightly thicker glass and is just a little too big to fit through the bottom hole of the housing. Maybe my model S8Q-PA is an older version, but this quartz sleeve definitely didn't fit in it. Lucky the old sleeve just needed a cleaning and was fine to continue using. Hopefully, I won't need to replace the glass in the future.
