Viqua S810RL Replacement UV Lamp

Works and very easy to install.

We did not realize that you are supposed to change our these bulbs every 12 months (even if the bulb is still glowing) and our well water tested positive for coliform. We ordered this bulb and it arrived packaged securely with the bulb in perfect shape. We followed the clear instructions that came with the bulb and our water has now tested free from coliform! The only thing that would have helped would have been including the gloves you should wear when you handle the bulb in the box from the bulb manufacturer. I would purchase this bulb again when it is time to change the bulb again.

The bulb was the perfect fit for my water system. My only problem was how Amazon packed it. Absolutely no padding around the company box. These bulbs are very fragile. The first one came broken. Naturally Amazon replaced it free of charge. But what a waste.

Great value. Better price than from manufacturer or other vendors and the quality is equal imo. Easy installation, but must be careful as it is a long light bulb. Lifespan for all of these bulbs is generally one year, so you can save significant money with this bulb.

I have a Sterilight Silver UV disinfection system that I installed in 2005. It requires an S810RL UV light with a recommended replacement schedule of 12 months. For a few years I tried different brands, usually buying the cheapest bulb available. A couple arrived broken, some wouldn't light, and some failed prematurely. The first Viqua I bought came directly Viqua. It was packaged flawlessly, came with replacement gaskets, and worked a full year. Since, I have never had a Viqua fail, once using a bulb for a year and a half (I kept hitting the reset button on the controller.) I will openly admit to buying from sources other than Amazon in the past, but this is my 8th consecutive purchase from Amazon, because I know it will get to me within a couple of days. You can buy cheaper bulbs, but not better bulbs.
