Is the squares on the ruler by 8th?

Yes, it is. As you can see with the "closer look function". On the outside of the ruler there you can see even the 16th. Hope I could help

Are the edge are really beleved?

the edges have a very slight bevel which is more than what the previous manufacturer had provided.

Is this ruler flexible?

It is bendy but I don't think it's meant to curve. The plastic makes it bendy, not like the hard plastic rulers we used in grade school. As I always add when I am asked to comment on this ruler, I simply love it. Price is great, ruler is great and you don't need to look any further for a good ruler. I use it in my mandala drawing and I like that I can see through it.
