Q: Would this be big enough to house one adult RES? She's 7" carapace length and currently in a 40 gal breeder tank

First, congrats on your turtle size. He is doing well. But a strong no to your question. I have a similar sized turtle in a 75 gallon after having used a 40 gallon breeder tank for years. My turtle slides off his basking area and swims around quickly while chasing red minnows. Mine is probably 8" in length and has already outgrown my 75 gallon tank. He needs to swim! I couldn't imagine sticking him in essentially a large rectangular bucket with a basking area.

Q: How do you change the water?

You have to drain the water with a gravel vacuum that is used for fish tanks into buckets. :)

Q: Does it just come as the tub? Not the water fall thing thats in the picture?

The tub is available as just the tub (for about $75-80) or as part of a complete kit (for around $300). The filter comes with the kit, believe it is the ZooMed 511 filter, which you can buy separately if you don't want the other items. That filter has two different outflow tubes, one is just a tube with a kind of fan at the end so the water falls in a sheet, the other is a tube with holes down the side of it, which makes the waterfall you see in the picture. So if it's the water fall you're after, get that filter or the complete kit.

This tub would be to small for a 7" turtle. May want to look for something in the 30-40 gallon range
