Definitely a “comprehensive” guide.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, you can get good information from here. I’ve been reading tarot for quite some time and decided to finally get into the astrological correspondences more in depth. This book helped do that and more! If you are finding mixed information online, this is your final stop. It’s a solid guide with well researched information written by a true expert.

Interesting and Informative!
With a historical background of the Tarot from gaming and eventual growth into divinitation this book gives the basic what is and how to examples for the beginner. Covers each of the tarot decks of Mathers, Waite, and Golden Dawn with descriptions of the major arcana, pip cards, and court cards. Briefly describes tarot in relation to number symbolism, astrology, the zodiac and the four elements. This book is 309 pages of useful information and very well made. Very happy with this book and will be buying other Llewellyn publications.

Great reference guide to have on hand
I use this all the time. After looking up things online constantly I wanted something more concise I could trust. This didn't dissapoint. I will admit, there are a few things I looked up that aren't in the book but, I think maybe 9 of 10 are in here. So worth it.

Awesome book! Love the history on top of each ...
Awesome book! Love the history on top of each cards description & associations. However the author associates the Moon card with Pisces & I personally believe it is the Cancer card since Cancer is ruled by the moon.
