Keeps the algae cleared up
I found this product effective for keeping the floating algae under control in my 1/4 acre pond. But I found it a hassle to apply. I did not want to pour an entire dose in one spot, so I would make myself go all the way around the pond to distribute. I have steep slopes that are often muddy, so getting close enough to the water multiple times was a hassle. Fortunately, this same vendor offers a similar product in powder packet form. I just love that product because I can quickly and easily toss a couple of water soluble packets out into the pond.

Great stuff
I tried several other expensive things like Algae D solve I think it was, I should know since I spend $150.00 on it. It killed all my small small fish. BUT THIS pond bacteria did the trick. Seems to be a continuous process to keep up with once your pond develops Algae. I'd never had the problem before. BUT stupid me let a bunch of Water Hyacinths ROT in there at the first of the year and I've suffered for that stupidity. Anyway, I have a number of big filters and once I put this in, you could tell it was breaking down the stuff in the pond, everything from the Mesquite beans to fish poop, filters began to really get full for a day or two and BAM! clear nice water again.

Pond care!
I'm sure the pond needs it, I just haven't seen any evidence of it doing anything yet. I have put it in weekly as directed. It's just been 3 weeks. It probably takes 3 months or more to see a change. In theory it should help.
