Great read! After watching the anime or light novel!
I gave it a 5 because I'm heavily invested on this anime I'm soon planning on geting the light novels. The story in my opinion is great an excited for more details of the light novels. Long story short. The main character is named momonga (Lord Aniz) who has been isekai into his beloved game. An is now searching for other players while pretending to be a overlord. I highly recommend this book if you're coming from the anime an learn a bit more. Then this is for you! If you want more in depth story then the light novel is preferred.

Pure enjoyment
I really love the art and overall style of the world and it's characters. Albedo is my favorite along with all the pleiades. Just pure enjoyment.

A great story
I dislike reviewing books too in-depth because they're too subjective; what I like you may not like, and I may not like what appeals to you. That said, I'm enjoying this manga a great deal. The story idea isn't original (sucked into a game world), but the perspective to it is pretty unique in my (admitedly) limited experience: the hero/protagonist is kinda, sorta the bad guy, but not really. He cares about his underlings and the people who live in his new world; he defends the weak from the strong; he follows the rules; he even reins in his underlings from harming innocents. Did I mention our hero's a Lich? He does have his anti-hero moments, though, which I feel help the character development a great deal. That comes in later volumes, however. so I won't mention them here. There are a few gaps in the story that are explained better in the light novel and the anime, but this is still the first volume of the story so it's still looking for it's stride. One other thing that bugs me slightly is the translation, and that holds true for almost all manga I read. While the grammar is usually much better in the professionally translated and published volumes than many of the fan translations, the fan translations tend to follow the original dialog much closer, which in turn keeps the feel of the work more in tune with the original story. In short, some of the story is 'lost in translation'. Granted, there are some things (cultural references, usually) that just don't translate well. Still, I'd prefer to see translations closer to the original work and let me puzzle out, or learn, what the references mean.

The anime got me to start reading manga
I love the series, but I’m so excited to finally be diving into the full experience here. It’s awesome to get the extra details of the world that I’m diving into and how this world functions. I’m so glad I started this series :)

It's cool
The manga is just like the anime, mostly - some of the character descriptions and the wording was a bit off, the main saving grace was the short story at the end that is not in the anime or light novel

Worth your money if you're a fan of the series
Its fun to see all the differences between the anime and the manga, not to mention the different design choices and additional lore hidden beneath the surface. Some elements of the story changed as well, and its cool to see it.
