First i installed this ssd with adapter and tried many time to install mac Operating system over internet recovery mode but it stucks at globe 🌎 spin. Waiting more than 5 hours and saw me -1001 error and sometimes -2002 errror. I thought it will not work. Then i reinstalled my old Ssd and download Mac os Mojave and make bootable USB installer by using terminal. Then Install samsung 1tb ssd and then plug in bootable pendrive. Installation tokes time but working fine.

I got this SSD on prime day sale. Offers overall solid performance good read and write speeds at PCIE Gen4. Tbh you cant really see much difference in game load time on this as compared to a high end PCIE Gen 3 SSD but for productivity its very good. The Samsung Magician Software that comes with it also allows to keep a track of the drive health.

Ho recentemente acquistato il Samsung 980 500 GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 SSD per sostituire il mio SSD Kioxia che fin dal primo giorno mostrava segni di surriscaldamento e latenza. Sono sempre stato un fan degli SSD Samsung per la loro affidabilità e prestazioni, ed è stato un upgrade che ha dato nuova vita al mio portatile.Iniziamo con la descrizione del prodotto. L'SSD 980 è progettato per offrire prestazioni eccezionali con l'interfaccia NVMe e la tecnologia PCIe 3.0. Ho notato immediatamente un aumento significativo nella velocità del mio laptop. Le velocità di lettura e scrittura sequenziali raggiungono rispettivamente 3.500 MB/s e 3.000 MB/s, rendendo le operazioni di caricamento dei file e delle applicazioni estremamente veloci.Una delle caratteristiche che apprezzo maggiormente è la modalità Full Power Mode, che permette al mio SSD di funzionare sempre al massimo delle sue capacità. Questo è particolarmente utile quando sto lavorando con file di grandi dimensioni o quando gioco a giochi con grafica pesante. L'ho configurato facilmente tramite il software Samsung Magician, che rende il processo di migrazione il più semplice possibile e trovo estremamente utile per la gestione e l'ottimizzazione del mio SSD.Samsung è noto per la sua affidabilità, e il 980 non è da meno. Con soluzioni in-house che vanno dal controller alla tecnologia V-NAND e al firmware, il 980 offre una garanzia limitata di 5 anni o 600 TBW. Sono sicuro che questo SSD mi accompagnerà per molto tempo.Un'altra caratteristica che merita menzione è il controllo termico efficiente. Il rivestimento in nichel e il dissipatore contribuiscono a mantenere il mio SSD a temperature ottimali, garantendo prestazioni stabili nel tempo. L'algoritmo di controllo termico Dynamic Thermal Guard di Samsung svolge un lavoro eccellente nel gestire il calore.Per la migrazione ho utilizzato un economico Case per SSD M.2 NVME USB, una volta inserito l'SSD Samsung e connesso al pc lo stesso non viene rilevatoin esplorara risorse da Windows ma viene rilevato dal software Magician con cui ho effettuato la clonazione, ho impiegato circa 25 minuti per clonare 165 GB, la velocità dipende dalla porta USB.In conclusione, il Samsung 980 500 GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 SSD è stata una scelta eccellente per il mio laptop. Ha migliorato notevolmente le prestazioni del mio sistema, ed è supportato da caratteristiche di affidabilità che mi danno fiducia nell'uso a lungo termine. Mit einem Aktionspreis von ca. 38 € war sie ein sehr gutes Schnäppchen, wenn auch vielleicht etwas überteuert für ein Gehäuse mit USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps).➔ ALLGEMEINDas Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausgezeichnet und die SSD hält konstant um die 900 MB/s (theoretisch wären maximal 1250 MB/s möglich). Die Installation ist, wie bei fast allen M.2 SSDs, einfach und schnell. Bei den Geschwindigkeiten wird sie nicht mehr als lauwarm, was ich sehr gut finde.Einziger Kritikpunkt: Es werden keine Schrauben mitgeliefert, weshalb man auf die vom Mainboard beiliegenden zurückgreifen muss.➔ Samsung SSD 980 vs. 980 ProIm Vergleich zur etwas teureren 980 Pro ist diese „nur“ PCIe 3.0 x4 statt PCIe 4.0 x4, also nur halb so schnell (zumindest theoretisch) und man verzichtet auf den viel schnelleren LPDDR4-Cache, den die 980 Pro hat. Allerdings reicht der SLC-Cache für diese Geschwindigkeiten aus. Dafür ist die „normale“ 980 etwas energieeffizienter und verbraucht im Betrieb ca. 2-4W weniger, im Idle aber nur minimal mehr (0.01W).➔ FAZITDie Samsung 980 mit 1TB ist schnell und zumindest derzeit günstig. Mit PCIe 3.0 x4 ist sie als PC-SSD gut geeignet, auch wenn sie auf LPDDR4-Cache verzichtet und statt 7 GByte/s mit PCIe 3.0 „nur“ 3.5 GByte/s erreicht. Als externe Festplatte ist sie vielleicht etwas übertrieben, aber mit 600 TB ist sie langlebiger als andere billige SSDs, die oft nicht einmal SLC-Cache haben. Vor allem die Möglichkeit, sie von einer externen Festplatte in eine interne umzuwandeln, bevor ich mir eine langsame SSD kaufe, die ich dann irgendwann entsorgen muss, finde ich gut. Und falls ich doch einmal in ein USB 3.2 Gen 2x2-Gehäuse (20 GB/Sek.) investiere, dann brauch ich mir auch keine neue SSD kaufen.Für den derzeit günstigen Preis kann ich sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Für genauere Benchmarks, vor allem als interne PC SSD, gibt es genügend andere Testberichte. Diese kann ich in diesem Test leider nicht bieten.
