I ordered the tegaderm for a to cover a surgical incision while I take a shower and go swimming. It came in 4 rolls that were secured with tape. Tegaderm is a great product. It seals out water and dirt. It's like another layer of skin.

I use a transdermal pain patch and I bought this product to cover them. I have allergies to most adhesives in medical tape with this being one of the few exceptions. The roll is easy to cut and apply. Price wise if you use this type of product often the roll is significantly cheaper than buying the frame style pre cut pieces. The material is the same thin breathable plastic like the pre cut pieces and is one of the few clear dressings you can remove without damaging the patch, stitches, IV or whatever you are covering. If you have sensitive skin changing the Tegaderm daily, or after showering, or sweating it helps keep dry skin and redness to a minimum. For long term use or recovering from a procedure the extra cost of brand name Tegaderm is well worth the cost.

Easy to cut and score to size and shape desired. Unlike Transpore, tegaderm sticks to skin more effectively and never leaves a residue or adhesive after usage.

I use Tegaderm to cover the Lidocaine/Prilocaine topical ointment used to numb my fistula before cannulation. I use Tegaderm to cover the Sureseal dressings I put on the fistula after my dialysis. It works, and I prefer it to Saran Wrap that other dialysis patients use to cover the topical ointment.

Great product especially for slow healing wounds protects the skin . Use with gauze .no adhesive residue. Cons. Have to lean how to use it.
