When you go in to the customers house turn on The A/C take WB (wet bulb) reading at the return air grill then go outside and take a dry bulb measurement at condensing unit or heat pump use your measurements with your refrigerant gauges. And calculate your subcooling or superheat depending on weather you have a TXV or not, I just enter the values in to my SMAN4 gauges and it calculates it for me the I either add or remove (reclaim) refrigerant to reach my subcooling or superheat or you can type in Fieldpiece PRH2 in to You Tube and watch a video on how to use it
