These scissors are sharp enough to cut through foodstuffs and also cardboard boxes. The grips are covered with a soft material so you don't hurt your hands. Sharp and good price

I bought this for the 2nd time recently after a family member took my previous ones. Scissors are sharp, and I love the design where the 2 blades come completely apart. Makes it super easy to clean and dry. One of my most useful kitchen tools.

Yes you heard that right they make a noise when they close and I'm not just bragging about that for no reason when scissors do that that means the blades are typically very flat and very level with each other and you get a very good cut if scissors blades don't do that you typically have some Boeing in the Machining process and you get an inferior inaccurate cut does this matter as much on culinary shears as it would cloth shears or leather working shears no not really but it's satisfying to know it's good quality and yes I can definitely say Oxo is good quality I really enjoy them I haven't had any problems and I was even able to Shear through some duck bones also I thought that I would need a tool to detach the scissors and separate them you do not in some cases they detach quite easily so if you hang them up be careful that you don't hang them up wide open because you might wake up at 3:00 a.m. hearing something fall and be convinced somebody's breaking in when no it's just the scissors falling into your sink

I usually don't rate an item unless it deserves 5 stars, but I'm making an exception with these scissors. They are very well designed, and they are very well made, but they are shorter than most kitchen scissors, and the points are a bit too rounded for some requirements. They are new, so they are sharp and gleaming, but we seldom use them because of their shortness. If they were at least half an inch longer they would rate 5 stars and would be among our best kitchen scissors.

Love love these kitchen scissors. The best part is they come apart for cleaning. A big Plus.My original OXO are still in use, have owned for many many years, but got tired of family using them to open boxes. So now I have a dedicated Food scissors.

Blows away the big brands. I use these for trimming chicken fat, cutting chicken wings, cutting paper, and just about anything you can throw at it. They are very sharp, easy to clean, comfortable, no spring to get hung up on and look pretty good in the knife block. Would highly recommend. I had a pair for 8 years and just bought a new pair, not because the old pair was bad, but I just wanted a new color.
