1–2 Peter: An Expositional Commentary Hardcover – October 29, 2019

This is a Sproul commentary so you expect excellence, which this writing is. Excellent for any Bible student or person who wants a fuller understanding of the Petrine doctrine.

Excellent read. Very true to Scripture

I liked the way he pulled in other scriptures to help understand Peter, especially the epistles of Paul. He also gave perspectives from the church Fathers and the church’s perspective from the Catholic Church and Reformed leaders.

All of RCSproul’s expositional commentaries are wonderful in explaining scripture. This is no exception. It is like hearing him preach to you as you read them.

R.C. Sproul does an outstanding job of explaining the meaning and context of a lesser known epistle. I wis I had read it before now!

R. C. Sproul never disappoints. He is really good at explaining the "backstory" and elaborating on what the author is trying to convey. In the case of difficult passages, he tells you what the various interpretations are, why he agrees or disagrees with them, or even that he doesn't know! I've been blessed by this study and would recommend it. The one small "nit" I have is that some of the words are hyphenated in strange, non-syllabic places from one line to another, but that's a small inconvenience.

This book is a basic commentary of 1 & 2 Peter. I was hoping for something deeper.
