No it is one pillow with 2 comfort zones.

Advert says lifetime warranty but when arrived it says to register for a 1 year warranty, which is correct?

it says your product is backed by 1 year guarantee ,but you have to register it on there website first and then you can download the free book . myself i didnt bother registering it ,hope this helps in someway dawn

Is it firm by default ?

Hard one to answer, no it's not to touch but when you sleep it's very supportive and was a bit too high for me. It took about four nights removing some of the filling to get it just right. It's a lovely pillow. I must admit I'd been looking at tempur and I didn't hold out much hope for this pillow as the price was so much cheaper- but finances during lockdown dictated my choice. I'm so glad I did very pleased with my purchase.

Are there any chemical\toxic smells with the pillow please?

Actually, there was no smell. Very surprising. It’s the best pillow I’ve had in ages
