No from what i hear there is lead in the clay or at least in the Bentonite Clay even the so called "food grade". No amount of lead is considered safe. So why put lead in when you are trying to cleanse? The wellness mama website has a page that goes into detail about this. Be safe hope this helped

Q: Can I use this clay for my owne foundation? With cocoa powder?

That's what I am currently using- for powder foundation. I've been using homemade powder for well over a month and LOVE IT! My skin breaks out less (like 1 bad day a month as opposed to 1 bad week a month) and I've noticed I can go without makeup more often now. I mix a tiny amount of this clay powder with cocoa powder and amaranth starch- the powder keeps me from becoming oily on my t-zone and puts a green tint in the color of the powder foundation, which is good for my sometimes red/ruddy complexion. Clay powder can be used for cleaning or masks, but it can also be used in foundation- just not too much since it's green!

yes French green clay can be used for many things. I putt French green clay on a toothache and it takes the pain away by killing the bacteria in the tooth cavity
