Will this work on a 1" Martigale collar? If so, which size would be best?

a martingale collar is a complete circle--no buckle. So these could not work. There are similar collar tags that have slots, which would work.

If I put fewer lines of text will the font be bigger?

I used three lines, pet name and two phone numbers. The text seems rather large and easy to read.

Have a small 5# maltese w/very small neck-7" around. wears a 1/2" wide collar. what size should i get that won't be too large or flop around?

I would get the smallest size. 3/8. It's an awesome product!!!! I hope this helps.
