Q: How well does this work with braid or other thin diameter line?

Not sure ,I only use mono but I would think it would work on any type of line.

Q: Does it come with batteries?

No. At least not when I bought it a couple years ago.

Q: what batteries does it take and how many?

I apologize for taking so long to reply. The stripper I have uses 2 AA batteries. I recommend use heavy duty batteries. If stripping a lot of line this is much better.

Q: How well does the berkley line stripper work?

excellent .... works great and very fast. Highly recomend it. I fish in saltwater and change line often.
