EquiGroomer 5 Inch – Great for Dogs and Cats (5 Inches, approx. 12.7 cm)

Got this for grooming my cats which it has done wonderfully with making them come together into an line of fur for easy pickup and throwing away with my cats once settled down for brushing/grooming enjoying it. As a new cat owner and still learning I can't say if it's made a big difference in hairs around the place I can say that it certainly removes hair from my cats that are already lose and make them not come off onto my hand or clothing.Bonus use for this is that it is excellent at removing hairs from clothing, bedding, rugs without doing much damage to them that I can notice. Only exception to this has been my wool picnic blanket though it has many loose hairs and is 3.5 years old now where it noticeably pulls up some of the blanket's threads into the mass of cat hairs that it takes from it.I did end up with a bit of trouble when I ordered this as I purchased two of them and shipping got messed up, however the suppliers worked to rectify this as soon as I notified them and supplied some cat treats after asking what pet I had purchased this for, so great customer service from Gallipots Ltd.

I have 4 labradors and this is perfect for them, one is a very old boy and he loves it. He's always been the worst for shedding and just sits while i brush him using this. Gets all the dead hair off without digging into or scratching along the skin like the furminator for example.

This grooming tool has revolutionised caring for my cats.No other brush reduces the shed for either of them like this one. The boy used to be the sort of cat that even after a good 20 minutes of brushing (he loves to be brushed) you could stroke him with your hand and get a small cloud departing his back.Their coats feel smoother and shinier to the touch and look better too. Plus I'm no longer finding the fur equivalent of a dust bunny at random intervals around the house.As someone who wears black and owns a black and white cat, I can testify that the equigroomer reduces shed because I can pick him up in a black t-shirt and only find a few stray white hairs rather than the usual absolute coating.

£26 for a piece of hacksaw blade glued into a block of MDF then painted. All you need is an hacksaw blade with tape on one end for your hand to hold on to. Do not waste your money. £5 would be a fair price

I brought this to groom our greyhound and it does strip out the hair but no matter what angle we use she finds it painful. She normally enjoys being groomed so we will not be using the equigroomer, waste of money and upsetting to find we have caused her discomfort. i also think it is overpriced.

This is a surprisingly great product and use it on all my fur babies. My dog is a longhair German Shepherd mix. I use this on his legs, which have a cottony white undercoat which billows into big hairy paws. This is a nice gently way to remove that undercoat. That's it for him, but I recently adopted a hairy stray cat. And I care for a feral cat that lives on my porch. Both are shedding a lot! Both cats surprisingly seemed to enjoy being groomed with this. The stray is really the problem because his shedding is bothering my allergies. He could really use a bath, but he is a bit too temperamental for that. But he did not mind this at all. Worked on him for about 1/2 hour before he had enough. I included a picture to show how much hair came off of an 8 lb. cat using only this tool. Another 1/2 hour should do the trick. Then a wipe down with a cat wet wipe and my allergies should calm down. The only thing I wish was that it came in a smaller size. Then it would be perfect. But it still gets 5 stars from me and the pets.

No la irrita ni la lastima, solo aplicas poca presión y cepillas y le va a ir quitando todo el pelo suelto y suciedad. Queda suave y brillante, además que ella lo disfruta muchísimo.

I know some people are baffled by this "brush" when they get it, but I assure you, it works very very well. Follow the instructions included, holding it at about a 45 degree angle to your pet, and use short, firm, strokes. The first just melts out of the coat. My boy has a serious love affair with this thing. All I have to do is pick it up and he starts purring. The handle is indeed made out of painted wood, and the blade is akin to an enamel covered saw blade, and I know some reviews said it felt 'cheap', or perhaps too simple a solution for the price they paid... I would counter with this: the brush is a very sturdy made out of sustainable materials. It feels more like a hand tool rather than something I would pick up a pet store or something meant for a human... And the only plastic involved is the packaging it comes in. Many thanks to Girl With The Dogs for promoting this. It's certainly saved my wardrobe during shedding season.

I bought this for my pitbull lab mix and it worked fantastic. Doesn’t hurt her or dig in. My mom borrowed it for her cats and it worked great for them as well!
