Followed all directions on the package to a t including the ham hock which I bold and cleaned and then just used the meat the stuff has a wonderful flavor to it if used as directed give it a try we were thrilled

This is good to season your greens. Your kale use chicken broth. Dump the package in with some onions. Stir, it's similar.
