Bait Cast Net: 3/8" Sq. Mesh, 7 ft Radius

This is a great cast net for one that is factory produced. The monofilament is very soft. I soaked it in some fabric softener to soften up a bit more, but it's great as-is. The braille lines stay clear and the lead line is tied very well and strong. My net came as advertised with the round weights, and it's about 1.5lbs per foot. I purchased the 7' 3/8" mesh for all around baitfishing, and the 6 panel design opens nicely. I would recommend this cast net for anyone wanting something better than Bett's, but not pay the price for a custom net (which I own several of as well).

This castnet is way better than the ones bought at walmart, for the simple fact you can repair it on the spot w/ the dragon head swivel allowing you to fix a line right on the spot by replacing the line. Also, the placement of the weights make the net sink faster and are tied right to the net unlike other brands that can cause uneven casts, making your net not open correctly.I know right from day one that this cast net will catch more bait and last longer than others due to the higher quality. Yeah, I pay more but, I know the quality is there. I recommend to anyone looking for a bait net, to spend the extra dough, to get the quality they deserve and come to expect with a net like this.

This is clearly a 5-star cast net in quality, but unfortunately is not the right net for me. It was evident when I pulled this one out of the bucket it comes in, that the quality is superior to all of the other cast nets I have owned. On the other hand, I will probably will not use it any more because for my purposes I need a lighter net. This net is very heavily weighted making it perfect if your intent is to catch fast moving bait-fish in deep clear water for offshore fishing which requires a fast sinking net. If like me, your intent is to catch shrimp in murky shallow water and you need to be able to throw it for hours, this is not the net for you because it will wear you out. Make sure to look at the amount of weight and not just the diameter when you purchase a net.

For me, It was a long learning curve, but now have mastered the throwing of it and works well, always catch bait. Use chum, it makes it even more effective. This is a good quality net. Far exceeds a cheap net from a big box store. 7' or 8' net is best in MY opinion. Thank You

This net has a lot of weights on it sinks fast and deep. I am learning how to use it, but can see there are some good advantages to this one. Recommended for sure!!

I ordered 7', the net was 7.5'. also clear lines are 6" longer so there is a gap between horn and swivel. Netting ripped easily, Would not buy it again!!! Bucket is a nice touch.

This cast net was an unexpected A plus for the hubby. He tells me it opens and drops like a real cast net is suppose to . He likes the barrel feature for repairs down the road as anybody that uses one of these will like as they get caught on rocks and stuff sometimes and the design makes it easy to repair on your own without much effort.
