Compare the size of this connector to the hose you have it printed on the hose or the inventory of your hose. Read do not ask what is there. And yes the hose and connectors of the same size will hold and even water.

Q: Will a 3/8" OD rubber hose work?

I have used these for 40 years and I have never seen anyone use them on a rubber hose. I don't believe they will hold on to the rubber. They are not sold to be used with a rubber hose.
