great pulley, very quiet, would recommend to anyone!!!
I purchased this pulley when a tension pulley went out in my Mazda 3, 2012 2.5 Hatchback. I began hearing a winning noise in my engine when accelerating. I was able to isolate the noise by placing a small hose to my ear and the other end placing it over different areas of the engine (like a stethoscope :D). This allows the noises on the engine to be singled out by their location and enhanced so you're able to hear them better. Once I found out I was at ease as this was a quick and easy fix... Amazon had this pulley in less than 2 days at my doorstep. The installation was very simple and a matter of minutes. This pulley arrived quickly and was able to install it without any issues. It currently works as if was OEM. I haven't heard the belt squeak when the engine compartment gets wet or when starting. It was a great upgrade. I recommend changing your belt as well when replacing a pulley or when reaching 70000 miles. I would recommend this pulley to anyone needing a replacement. I also replaced my belt when changing the pulley.

Doesn't come with "lock" washer if needed for your application.
Direct replacement for my 2004 Mazda 6 with V6 engine. One thing to know is that the original pulley I removed had a special lock washer on the back of it. It was large like a fender washer but had three "pins" in the center. The three pins are intended to push into the bolt threads as you tighten the bolt against the engine block to prevent the bolt from backing out. I used a pick to pull the three pins back from the bolt and was able to reuse the washer and could feel it compressing back into the bolt when I tightened it down. Also this pulley is made from some type of plastic, the OEM was a metal pulley.

Dayco products seem to be quality…
Just bought two of these pulleys and a Dayco serpentine belt too. The pulleys are US made and the belt in Italy. So nice to see products made outside of you know where! They sure look to be quality components for a reasonable price. Will buy more Dayco products as the need arises.

Better than OEM
I replaced this idler to eliminate squeaking serpentine belt. Turns out it was the tensioner but at 90,000 miles I ordered both. Took me an hour to do the job. Saved myself about $300. You can do it.

Not a 12mm bore but good part overall.
Pulley is a good piece , the description of a 12mm bore is wrong. Bore size is 17 mm, so had to make bushing so I could use original size bolt:

A waste.
I find this very hard to believe that anyone can say this meets or exceeds OEM. I will challenge anyone who states at. I wanted to replace my pulley on my 2012 Mazda 3 2.0 MZR (non sky active engine Vin F). This is apprently the correct part number according to amazon and a few other sites. The original pulley on my mazda is solid and metal. This pulley is pure plastic and the fitment will not work with the original OE bolt and washer. To make it work I must not use the washer. Very poor part, the design is even different compared to OE. The OE is clearly different on each side, whereas this new part isn’t. I’d rather continue using my 5 year old pulley that has a little play than use this cheap thing.I’ve included pictures. The pulley with the red bearing is the new one next to it is my old one. As you can see they are slightly different design, resulting in not being able to use the washer. If you use the washer it will scrape against the new pulley’s edge, likely ruining the plastic junk. I could have probably just not use the washer but the whole point of replacing this pulley was to make sure my car is done right;not wrong. You get what you pay for.
