Illuminare, Moisturizing Mineral Foundation - 0.5 oz

I have used this product for 20 years. As a makeup artist, I called it my tear proof foundation ,perfect for Brides!

My favorite foundation! I’ve ordered about 6 of these! Goes on even, never dries out your appearance or skin! SPF benefit too.

The tube looks impossibly small, but you need only the tiniest amount. I just turned 75 and people still comment on my skin all the time. The moisturizing version has a beautiful finish, slightly dewy, and lasts at least 24 hours (Don’t ask!!). It is a mineral formula, with SPF20, non-irritating to my very sensitive eyes. I use Florentine Fair, which the company says is the shade most used, and sometimes it looks a bit dark when first applied, but soon blends in. I also use their extra coverage version under my eyes in the same shade, and it hides the increasing purple under my eyes, and lasts equally long. The blushes are coordinated to the foundation shades, and are subtle and natural looking. I really can’t recommend this highly enough and have kicked myself soon after every time I’ve strayed. When will I learn??

I found this product from a tiktok showing how to cover acne. Got the shade sienna sun and it blended into the skin nicely (I have normal to oily skin). It does dry up a bit fast when blending with hands so will try to apply in section of the face instead of the whole face at once. It feels very natural and not like I’m wearing heavy makeup, which is helpful for every day makeup!At first I wasn’t first if it had the coverage I wanted because it didn’t feel like other foundations, but this before and after definitely shows the difference!!Products used for face base: Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Water Powder Serum, Illuminare Foundation, Kosas Cloud Set Baked Setting & Smoothing Powder (cushiony)

This is the best foundation that I’ve ever used and looks completely natural while maintaining moisture. I work hard to care for my skin so I don’t want to completely cover it; although you can certainly build this product to do so. It took a bit to figure out how to best apply as I originally mixed with my SPF as Jeana at Art of Skincare recommends. That seemed to blend the coverage away. Tried fingers on top of SPF and nope. I find that squeezing a tiny amount onto a pallet, spreading it around the pallet with my finger, and then using a beauty blender to dab the product onto the skin works best. I apply over the new Kosas Dream Beam SPF and my skin looks beautiful and dewy. The natural coverage seriously lasts all day. I do get minimal creasing under my eyes (I’m 46) but I think that’s more so from the SPF. I hope they never stop making this product! Once you find the right way to use it, it’s magical. If it helps, I do my usual skincare routine…wash, Vitamin C/serums, mist with the Curel Moisturizing Spray, apply a layer or two of Curel Moisturizing Milk, apply my SPF, and then apply the Illumanaire.

I used to wear full coverage.. and I have super combo oily acne prone skin (yay me, lol). I’ve always hated the way foundation feels. It slides off my face, even the littlest looks like a lot. I tried bb creams and they never worked.. I will say I use a couple dots of this and a couple dots of erborian, Omg perfection for my skin and so light. I won’t ever use anything else. I’m white but tan easily, and this color mixed with Claire from erborian makes the perfect match for my skin. I’m also very neutral toned. This doesn’t break me out, and gives awesome coverage. I just tap a little more on to cover acne.

I have been searching for a clean and scene safe light spf foundation! This one has it all! Love that it is moisturizing too! Took me a couple of tries to find the right shade but it was never a problem to make a return. This will be my go to all summer because it is so light but yet it covers well. Convenient tube size will be easy to travel with.

This broke me out bad on my cheeks and near eyebrow. Loved the foundation itself though but didn’t work for me
